“If You Want A Job Well Done …”
Do you delegate everything to … yourself?
Here in San Francisco, Dr. Calvert Jang of Jang & Associates has a great local TV advertising series for his family practice of 13 dentists. He’s focused on a single defendable position in the minds of the marketplace (”we treat you like family, seven days a week”), used himself as a spokesman to personalize his business, boosted new patient acquisitions while decreasing their risk of loss through his deep discount intro specials, and shown that what he offers actually works by using patient testimonials as proof.
He’s memorable for his overacted smile (used as a schtick) at the end of each commercial. And for the profound bags under his eyes (hopefully not used as a schtick).
Assuming his professional and support staff is doing most of the work, why doesn’t he look more rested? Is it from the long nights counting all the money he’s making? Or from experiencing stress in a business that’s growing too fast? Or … maybe he actually isn’t sharing enough of the load?
So what are the reasons you find in not being able to offload / outsource / delegate to others in your business? Is it money? Other resources? Not knowing how? Comment below now:
